Rebels secure Haines for second season

Essex Rebels are pleased to announce the return of British guard Megan Haines. Haines was a late signing for the Rebels last year and is now returning for a second season. 

A highly talented British guard, Haines will look to play an important role this coming season.  The Rebels are also proud to announce that Megan will also be attending the University of Essex where she will continue her education studying for an undergraduate degree in sports and exercise science. 

Megan Haines commented on her signing “I’m looking forward to another season with the Essex Rebels and joining the university, We have a great team and have built a great culture and am looking forward to seeing us getting stronger as the season goes on”.

Tom Sadler, Head of Basketball Performance said “Megan was a solid signing for us last year coming into the programme in December and did a great job to adapt and fit into the team.  We are thrilled that she has decided to study for her undergraduate degree at the University of Essex, being one of the country’s top Junior players we look forward to working with her as she transitions into the senior age group”.
