POORMAN JOINS REBELS FROM SOLENT KESTRELS
Essex Rebels have completed the signing of talented British guard, Elias Zain Poorman.
The 6’4” skilled guard played for Solent Kestrels last season where he amassed an impressive average of 10.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game.
Poorman enjoyed a successful three-year college career, earning Defensive Player of the Year and All-First Team honours in the ABL before stepping up to the EABL level with Alec Reed Academy by claiming a spot in the Southern Conference All-First Team and leading the league in assists.
The 23-year-old becomes the 7th player to commit to Ross Norfolk’s 2023/2024 NBL roster and will bring further NBL Division 1 experience to bolster the team’s chances for the upcoming season.

The team is beginning to shape up as Poorman joins Busumbru and Olarerin as the Rebel’s third signing this summer.
