REBELS UNVEIL THEMED GAMEDAY LINE-UP FOR THE 24-25 SEASON
Get ready to make some noise in ‘Our House’ as the Essex Rebels unveil our exciting line-up of themed gamedays for the first half of the season, featuring a mix of popular returning themes and exciting new games.
Fan-favourite themes are making a comeback, including the festive Christmas Special and the nostalgia-packed Retro Night. We’re also introducing exciting new additions to our lineup, such as a special Black History Celebration game and a Homecoming event to welcome back our esteemed alumni and Rebel athletes. From international celebrations to community-focused events, this season promises something for everyone.

- Black History Celebration Game | Saturday 19 October | 4:00 PM | Basketball Doubleheader | Essex Rebels vs Nottingham Wildcats / Essex Rebels vs Nottingham Hoods
Join us for a vibrant celebration of Black history and culture from around the world! We’re bringing you a fantastic mix of music, from Afrobeat and Caribbean rhythms to hip-hop and R&B. Experience the diversity of Black heritage through food, art, and performances, alongside some action-packed basketball action.
- Blades Night | Sunday 10 November | 1:00 PM | Volleyball Doubleheader | Essex Rebels vs Lionhearts Vinarius / Essex Rebels vs London Giants
Join us for Blades Night at The University of Essex. This special event puts the spotlight on the Essex Blades – our incredible 40+ SU Sport Clubs on campus. We’ll be running activities with all our sport clubs throughout the night. Between volleyball matches, you can meet club representatives, find out how to join, and learn about following Essex teams. Whether you’re into sports or just curious, Blades Night is a great way to see what Essex has to offer for students.

Step back in time with our Retro Night! Fans are encouraged to wear their best vintage sports gear, with prizes for the best-dressed. Enjoy classic tunes and throwback entertainment throughout the game.

Our fan-favourite Christmas Special returns! Join us for festive fun, including a toy drive for local charities, holiday-themed entertainment, and of course, top-notch basketball action.
