Essex Rebels Claim Victory Over London Cavaliers in NBL Division 1 Battle

Essex Rebels secured a vital 90-82 victory over London Cavaliers in a tense encounter at the Essex Sport Arena on Saturday evening. The matchup between the 7th and 8th seeds in the BE National Basketball League Division 1 promised excitement, and it certainly delivered.

The Rebels set the tone early, applying defensive pressure and moving the ball efficiently on offense to build an early advantage. However, the Cavaliers responded in the second quarter, cutting into the deficit with sharp shooting from Robinson and Lucas. Despite their efforts, Essex remained composed, with Martin and Johnson Thompson making key contributions to keep the Rebels in front.

Coming out of halftime, Essex tightened their grip on the game. Hart and Kanwei led the scoring charge, each finishing with 20 points, while Martin and Johnson Thompson added crucial baskets.

In the final stretch, the Rebels showcased their resilience, executing key plays on both ends of the court. London Cavaliers fought hard to stay in contention, but Essex’s defensive discipline and late-game composure proved too much to overcome as they secured the victory.
