With Essex Rebels Community Day just days away, we’re excited to share the complete timetable for all activities happening on Saturday 12 April!
Whether you’re coming for the sports tasters, entertainment, or the big game, this guide will help you plan your perfect day with the Rebels family.
FREE SPORTS TASTER SESSIONS – EXACT TIMINGS
Kids can try something new or practice their skills with our range of sports taster sessions! All activities are free with your ticket and designed for children of various ages and abilities. No pre-booking needed – just turn up and join in the fun.
Important Registration Information:
- All participants must sign in at the Registration Hub in the Fanzone
- Must show an eligible ticket for the game
- No pre-booking needed – registration available on the day from 12:40pm and closes at 2.30pm.
- We will try our best to allocate children to their preferred session
- All sessions operate on a first-come, first-served basis due to capacity limits
- Children should wear appropriate sports kit and trainers for all activities. For climbing, proper sports footwear is essential for safety reasons.
‘Rebels Play’ Basketball Taster – Sports Hall
Capacity: 20 participants per session
- Session 1: 1:00pm – 1:30pm (Ages 9-14)
- Session 2: 1:30pm – 2:00pm (Ages 5-8)
- Session 3: 2:00pm – 2:30pm (Ages 9-14)
- Session 4: 2:30pm – 3:00pm (Ages 5-8)
Climbing Taster – Climbing Wall
Capacity: 10 participants per session
- Session 1: 1:00pm – 2:00pm (Ages 8-11)
- Session 2: 2:00pm – 3:00pm (Ages 12-15)
Note: Participants must be 8 years or older and a parent/guardian will need to sign a waiver form on the day
Tennis Taster – Tennis Courts
Capacity: 10 participants per session
- Session 1: 1:00pm – 1:30pm (Ages 12-16)
- Session 2: 1:30pm – 2:00pm (Ages 5-8)
- Session 3: 2:00pm – 2:30pm (Ages 9-11)
Volleyball Taster – Sports Hall
Capacity: 20 participants per session
- Session 1: 1:00pm – 1:30pm (Ages 5-8)
- Session 2: 1:30pm – 2:00pm (Ages 9-14)
- Session 3: 2:00pm – 2:30pm (Ages 5-8)
- Session 4: 2:30pm – 3:00pm (Ages 9-14)
FANZONE ACTIVITIES (1:00pm – 3:15pm)
The fanzone will be buzzing with excitement from 1:00pm! We’ve packed it with activities for all ages, from face painting to interactive stalls, plus plenty of delicious food options to keep you fuelled throughout the day. Come early to make the most of everything on offer before the big game.
- Face Painting & Temporary Tattoos: Located near the main entrance
- Rebels Bracelet Making: Create your own Rebels-themed bracelet to show your support
- Jersey Drawing Contest: The best-drawn jersey will win a real jersey!

THE MAIN EVENT (3:00 PM – 6:30 PM)
The excitement builds as we approach tip-off for our final themed game of the season! Doors open at 3pm, giving you plenty of time to find your seats and get ready for an unforgettable gameday experience as our Rebels Women’s team takes on the Caledonia Gladiators.
3:00 pm: Doors open to the Arena
4:00 pm: Tip-off – Essex Rebels vs. Caledonia Gladiators
6:00 pm (approx.): Post-game Players Meet & Greet with autograph opportunities

- Expect taster sessions to be busy – we recommend arriving early for your preferred activities
- Climbing Wall restrictions – participants must be 8 years or older
- Rebels staff will be on hand throughout the event to assist and answer questions
- All activities are included in your ticket price (£5 adults, £1 children)
- Free parking available in University of Essex North Campus car parks
