Essex Rebels D3 Men Secure Perfect Season and Clinch Top Seed for Playoffs
The Essex Rebels D3 Men have made an impressive mark in the National Basketball League (NBL) Division 3, finishing the regular season with a flawless 18-0 record. Their unbeaten run not only earned them the regular season D3 East title, but also secured the top seed for the playoffs.
Division 3 consists of eight leagues, each competing within its respective region. The champions of each region are as follows:
- EAST: Essex Rebels II (18-0)
- LONDON: East London Phoenix (16-2)
- MIDLANDS: Loughborough Riders II (13-1)
- NORTH: Leeds LDM (12-4)
- NORTHWEST: Liverpool (19-1)
- SOUTH: Barnet Bulldogs (19-1)
- SOUTH EAST: Crawley Storm (11-1)
- SOUTH WEST: Cardiff City (13-1)
With the top two teams from each conference making the 16-team post-season line-up, anticipation is high as we approach the opening round of the playoffs.
Now, as the Rebels head into the playoffs, they are facing Tees Valley Mohawks in the first round of the playoffs this Sunday, 7 April, at home. The Essex Rebels D3 Men are determined to carry their winning momentum forward and make a statement in the postseason by keeping their perfect record.
