In collaboration with the African Caribbean Society and the Students Union, the event will feature dance performances, music, and food to celebrate black excellence on and off the court. With two exciting matchups lined up, it’s set to be an unmissable day for Rebels fans.
Essex Rebels Women vs Nottingham Wildcats – Super League Basketball (SLB) – Tip Off 4pm

After a commanding 102-47 victory over the London Lions on the weekend in the Betty Codona Trophy, the Rebels will be looking to continue their winning form. Taylor O’Brien was once again the star of the show, delivering 18 points on 58% shooting, along with 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals. The win was a true team effort, with five players—O’Brien, Turner, Park-Lane, Flowers, and McDerment—scoring in double figures.
The Nottingham Wildcats, however, are still searching for their first win of the season after a tough 0-2 start in the Betty Codona Trophy. This will be the first game for both teams in the SLB Championship, and with a fresh campaign ahead, both sides will be eager to start strong. Come and support your Essex Rebels women as they look to continue their unbeaten start of the season.
Essex Rebels Men vs. Nottingham Hoods – NBL Division One – Tip Off 6.30pm

After a free weekend, the Rebels will be looking to bounce back from their week-one defeat in the NBL Championship and claim their first win of the campaign. With the home crowd’s support, they’ll be hoping to get back on track.
The Nottingham Hoods come into the game with a 1-1 record after a loss to the Thames Valley Cavaliers. They will be determined to avoid slipping to a losing record and will be eager to secure a win on the road. Come and rally behind your Essex Rebels as they look to get back to their winning ways.
