Junior Basketball Club update
Dear members,
Essex Rebels Junior Basketball Club provides the following update on the club’s activities.
Further to the Prime Minister’s announcement (on the 31st of October 2020) of a second national lockdown (which will be imposed across England from midnight on Thursday), and given the unprecedented levels of uncertainty in the immediate term, the club’s management team (who met late last night), has elected to suspend all club-related activities until further notice.
The suspension comes into effect from 09:00 today (01st of November 2020).
Alongside the suspension of all club activities, all pending payment collections (for the month of November) have been suspended until further notice. To this end, there is no requirement to cancel existing direct debit arrangements.
I appreciate the developments in this update will be frustrating for many. However, the safety of our membership, and that of the wider community, are paramount as we try to weave through the unprecedented situation that is the COVID-19 pandemic.
The club’s management team will, nevertheless, continue to monitor external events closely, including Basketball England’s response to the aforementioned announcement, and will update the membership as appropriate. In the meantime, it is essential that we all follow government advice to protect our own health as well as that of our families and colleagues. Thank you.
Kindest regards
Rob Angira
Club Director
