Join us this Saturday at the Essex Sport Arena for another exciting basketball doubleheader as our NBL Division 1 and Division 3 men are back in home action.
The day will start with our the D3 Men’s team taking on University of East Anglia, followed by the D1 Men’s team facing off Bradford Dragons for a second time this season.
ESSEX REBELS D3 MEN VS UNIVERSITY OF EAST ANGLIA | NBL DIVISION 3 | 4:00PM TIP-OFF
Our Rebels D3 Men, who are still top of the league with a remarkable 12-0 record, will be looking to continue their winning ways against University of East Anglia (UEA) who are currently 5th in the league standings.
During the first meeting between the two sides in early September, the Rebels secured a narrow 67-76 win.
Coming from a tough loss against Northampton, undoubtfully UEA will be looking to make a statement against the best team in the league. Come support your Essex Rebels as they look to extend their perfect record.

With the second game of the day, the Essex Rebels D1 Men will take on Bradford Dragons for another entertaining showcase. With the Rebels currently holding the second position in the league and Bradford Dragons standing at the seventh spot, the game is likely to be a test of skills and determination for both teams.
WHAT COACH NORFOLK HAS TO SAY:
“We are looking forward to being back at the arena playing in our showcase Lunar special. Our match up against Bradford will be a tough one. Bradford have pick up some good form recently and have a solid roster. We must lock into the details of our scout and ensure we keep playing our fast paced basketball!”

WHO ARE BRADFORD DRAGONS?
Bradford Dragons are a semi-professional basketball club based in Bradford, West Yorkshire. Founded in 2001, the senior men’s team currently competes in the NBL Division 1. The club has a rich history of youth development, providing a natural progression path for the talented young players in and around the Bradford area.

Although currently occupying the seventh spot in the league standings, the Bradford Dragons have found their form of late coming into the game on a 3-game winning streak. The latest addition to their roster, Ronald Blain, has had an immediate impact on the team’s performance.
LAST TIME OUT
The last time both teams faced each other was back in November 2023 where the Rebels secured a narrow 100-107 victory on the road, spurred on by an impressive performance by Kyron Martin who finished the game with 24 points, shooting 6/10 from behind the arch.
