JADE MBAM
Jade Mbam will return to Essex Rebels for the 2023-2024 season.
Jade is an up-and-coming British player who had a great junior career in Manchester where she also earned an opportunity with the Giants in the WBBL for two years under the guidance of Jeff Jones.
Jade was a key member of the University of Essex team and helped them to their first-ever National Championship. She will also be continuing her education here at Essex as she will be studying for a degree in sociology.
She stated that one of the best on-court moments in her basketball career so far is when she stepped onto the court in a Great Britain jersey.
Ashley Cookson, Head of Basketball Performance, had this to say about Jade returning:
“Jade capitalised on the opportunities given to her last season, with her sharp shooting from the perimeter she put up efficient numbers. Jade is the kind of person that makes coaching a lot of fun, a hard worker that puts the team first. Excited to get on court with Jade this season and watch her progress.”
