Ryan Maiden

Ryan has coached with the Colchester Basketball/ Essex Rebels junior programme for the last 5 seasons. Prior to coaching, he grew up playing for the club at both U16 and U18 before going to the University of Worcester.

At the University of Worcester, Ryan played 3 years of BUCS, enjoying an undefeated season and promotion to division 1 in his third and final year at university.

During his 5 years coaching at the club, Ryan is a teacher of the game and has prided himself on pushing players both on the court as well as with their studies at school. He’s made it known to all players that with the correct mindset and dedication can use basketball as a vehicle to gain a higher education.

Training times: Mondays and Thursdays 6-7pm
