Rebels lose out to the Kestrels
Essex Rebels Division 1 men traveled to the top of the league and in form Solent Kestrels on Sunday.
Essex wanted to build on the momentum gained from last weekends win against Leicester warriors.
Solent were in fine form going into this game and Essex struggled to get going from the off. Solent started efficiently and combined with their tight defence, Essex couldn’t find an answer.
Essex saw an improved final quarter to help with building some confidence however the game was over at half time.
The final score was 119 – 44.
Josh Moore top scored for Essex, he had nine points to go with five boards as coach Norfolk’s side now need to pick themselves up and keep fighting in their bid to avoid the D1M trap door
Coach Ross Norfolk needs to rally the group ready for Saturdays game, “We need to bounce back quick and get ready for Newcastle. We know what we need to do in our remaining games, it’s all about our execution of the game plan”.
Essex have 4 games left of their season. Next weekend they travel to Newcastle to battle in a tough university match up.
