Rebels Re-sign top American Talent

The Essex Rebels are pleased to announce the signing of DeAngelique Waithe, who returns to the Essex Rebels Roster for a 3rd season in the WBBL.

Waithe earned her degree at the University of Essex whilst also playing professionally for the Essex Rebels in their début season in the WBBL. 

Angel had a historic season finishing up second in the league in scoring as well as scoring the most 2pts made, she also went on to finish in the top ten in rebounding. 

After a standout year in the WBBL Angel received an offer to play in Spain’s 2nd league where she went on to average a double-double in points and rebounding. 

She returned last season and quickly picked up where she left off finishing 6th overall in the league in rebounds and first for the rebels in scoring averaging 15.2 a game.
