REBELS SIGN AMERICAN CENTRE TREY CHAPMAN
Essex Rebels are thrilled to welcome American centre, Trey Chapman, to the team for the upcoming season.
Standing tall at 6-foot-8, Chapman signs from Hawaii Pacific Sharks, where he featured in 28 games last season, starting all but one.
The 22-year-old centre forward comes off an outstanding collegiate season for the Hawaii Pacific Sharks, finishing with career-highs in minutes (571), points (217), rebounds (116), and blocks (16).Trey also scored a season-high 19 points against Chaminade in just 19 minutes of work, demonstrating the potential impact he can make to the team when it comes to scoring.
Hailing from Healdsburg, California, Chapman was a two-time MVP winner in successive seasons competing in the Sonama County League (SCL) and North Bay League (NBL). Trey brings with him a reputation for being an explosive big and post player who is expected to feature heavily in Coach Norfolk’s squad next season.
Discussing his move from Hawaii Pacific University Sharks to the Essex Rebels, Chapman said:
“I am extremely excited to be playing for the Essex Rebels these next two years. I can’t wait to get after it with my teammates and coaches. I know this is going to be a great year and we are going to put on a show for the fans!”
