Rebels Volleyball Men Ready for Home Debut Against Richmond
After a successful opening weekend the men’s volleyball team play their second game of the season on Saturday 26th October, facing Richmond Docklands, in a game which also marks their home debut.
The Rebels men came out of the opening weekend with a dominant victory over IBB Polonia, winning 3-0. After a weekend off, they are back in action against Richmond Docklands. They’ll look to continue their strong start to the season and mark their home debut with a win. Richmond has also had a strong start to the season, currently sitting at the top of the Super League table with two wins. They’ll be looking to extend their lead at the top of the table with a win over the Rebels. With the home crowd behind us, this won’t be an easy task.
Ahead of the game, Alex Porter, the Rebels Head Coach, said: “I’m looking forward to this weekend game for three reasons. It is our first home game of the year which is exciting for our fans to see our new team. It is the first time new signing Jacob Kern will put on a Rebels jersey, and lastly we welcome back former Rebel Nico Gajkiewicz who is playing for Richmond. Playing Richmond is always fun as their style of play challenges us in a different way to other teams.”
