

Rebels Women Secure Important Road Victory Against London Lions
Our Essex Rebels women’s team bounced back with an impressive 83-74 road win over London Lions, improving their SLBW record to 8-8 as they continue their push toward the playoffs.
The Rebels showcased their offensive firepower, shooting an efficient 48.5% from the field with five players scoring in double figures. Lauren Park-Lane led the balanced attack with 24 points and 5 assists, while Taylor O’Brien added 23 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists on 9-of-17 shooting.
Maria Blazejewski contributed a solid 13 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double, with Daniella Turner adding 10 points on efficient 5-of-8 shooting. Brooke Flowers provided a spark with 12 points in 24 minutes.
The Rebels dominated inside, outrebounding London 45-39, while recording 20 assists on 33 made field goals, highlighting their unselfish play. Their defensive effort also shined, forcing 17 turnovers and converting them into scoring opportunities.
For London, Macy Spinks led the way with 17 points and 3 assists, while Chinwe Iwunze added 12 points and Michaela Esbrand contributed 15 points and 6 rebounds in a losing effort.
The Rebels return to the Essex Sport Arena this Saturday to face fifth-placed Caledonia Gladiators (11-6) as part of Community Day, in what promises to be another exciting matchup as the regular season winds down.
